I wrote this thinking of daily how many people struggle;
We speak of hustle with each of tryna piece the puzzle
Suffer and smile to the child who's growing up;
A couple years, a couple tears, he'll know what's up
I gotta be in a good mood to include this;
I get my head outta ruins then I resume pissed
I'm on the moon when I write nigga, my arm's strong;
And gravity doesn't pull as much so I March on
My heart bonds with the kinda souls that have gone through much; the special people who change gears and often clutch-
On what is right and what is just, in love and lust;
We wanna live, don't wanna die, but what's the fuss?
In such a rush we can't seem to seize 'now';
A marathon is not a sprint, so speed down
You scream 'how?', the scene's loud
You have to keep-; up with the people who at your wake would rather sleep
I can't dream there's a single beat I wouldn't like;
Unless it's a man laying hands up on his wife
You gotta stand for what is true and not a lie;
I'm ghost writing my bars, like I'm a poltergeist
I launch a heist on all the rich who have got supplies;
And then I give it to all the poor cos the cost of rice
Is not a nice, issue, and we just can't ignore;
That politicians who living lives they can't afford
They got a benz and jeep up on the ground floor;
Yet more than half of us have half of half a Ford
A staff and sword is all I need, I ask the lord;
Is there a door I haven't seen, I lack support
But fuck it, I'm the type you know who ain't giving up;
Persistence in existence till I've lived enough
For two decades I've walked earth and stalked her;
The only one who's showing up on a broad search
I simply creep and dig in deep, my palms hurt;
I can't see how she would be with a monster
That's what I am, or better yet, what I became;
Was feeling strange with a still brain in a house of pain
So many tears you'd really think I was doused with rain;
So the nose down is a cold frown tryna ascertain
What's left to do, and how am I gonna do it first;
Somebody said, 'you're the only u in the universe'
I grab the mic and spit lit in a fluent burst;
God-in-law, I've married Christ, who knew, it works
I'm blowing minds, so old with rhyme I'm owing time;
I coincide with showing signs while going blind
That only means I gladly give what I can't get;
When love is real there's no appeal to hand stretch
Demand less, so damn stressed you can't guess;
I'm just a man, not Clark Kent with a grand 'S'...
