In the book X-Ray the decrepit old rock 'n' roll singer talks about this mystery girl he used to know when he was on the road. It's a girl he calls Julie Finkle. Julie Finkle was really a mixture of lots of different people. And on tours, night after night, you go to these one-night stands, there's always a Julie Finkle in the audience. Maybe she's imaginary, and what's sure, maybe she's here tonight.
