Skylight
Through the skylight above my bed
I see shades of colors pass by me of blues and reds
From dawn's dusty pinks and yellows
To the bright golden sun at high noon
Comes the tint of blues and grays
Of nighttime silhouetted by the silver rays of the full moon
Look up there; what that I see ?
Could it really be animals floating by me ?
There goes a dog, a cat, an elephant, too.
No, I'm not loosing my mind,
It is just shapes in the clouds dancing on the winds of time,
Through the sky so blue
This world passes by so quickly, you see,
Why don't you stop and catch a glimpse of life's beauty ?
Through the skylight above my bed
The world slips away from overhead
if you don't stop once in a while to smell a rose or two,
Life will pass you by through the sky of blue.
Through the skylight above my bed
I see shades of colors pass by me of blues and reds
From dawn's dusty pinks and yellows
To the bright golden sun at high noon
Comes the tint of blues and grays
Of nighttime silhouetted by the silver rays of the full moon
Look up there; what that I see ?
Could it really be animals floating by me ?
There goes a dog, a cat, an elephant, too.
No, I'm not loosing my mind,
It is just shapes in the clouds dancing on the winds of time,
Through the sky so blue
This world passes by so quickly, you see,
Why don't you stop and catch a glimpse of life's beauty ?
Through the skylight above my bed
The world slips away from overhead
if you don't stop once in a while to smell a rose or two,
Life will pass you by through the sky of blue.
