Assorted Nonsense
Verse 1:
We're living in a world where we pollute the air we breathe/
And we're filling it with people who intrude the land we need/
We wake from a dream to a convoluted fantasy/
Where we turn on our fellow man, so tell me, who's the enemy?/
We rebelled then willingly gave our lives away/
We've argued over colour so what's gonna make us fight today?/
Either sign your name up or just wait to die in vain/
A crying shame to try make it right while saving time to waste/
We're literally destroying ourselves/
It's like there's something in the water and we poisoned the well/
The world's mine and everyone else's oyster as well/
But we're looking for a new home and avoiding the shell/
Killing everything in our way but hell, who can blame us?/
This crude behaviour is just human nature/
Soon due to wake up and look through the paper/
For a rude awakening before it's too late 'cause...

Hook:
It's trial and error but we don't get a second chance/
For recompense if our lives are spent in Neverland/
One world, one life, one love/
Is it unjust to say I think we fucked up?

Verse 2:
We're living a life of self-indulgence/
With self-induced highs and a selfish conscience/
Lost in all the lies that we sell for gold/
A generation of degenerates who seldom prosper/
Plastic people propped in a material world/
It's laughable, after all these are serious words/
The mirror is blurred, teaching us inferior worth/
And instead of expecting the best, we're fearing the worst/
We're just shallow sheep shopping in the pathetic reflection/
Of expressionless mannequins with prosthetic perfection/
That we strive for, spiraling in the depths of depression/
Desperate to find the answers in a therapy session/
But we never get ‘em, if we preached peace, love and unity/
We'd teach something new to them and cease utter lunacy/
It leaves us with deep cuts and eats up communities/
In the human race we can't keep up, we're losing it

Hook:
It's trial and error but we don't get a second chance/
For recompense if our lives are spent in Neverland/
One world, one life, one love/
Is it unjust to say I think we fucked up?

Verse 3:
We're living like it's the turn of the century/
But we all end up in an urn or a cemetery/
Life is not a race but the sperm are competitive/
So ever since birth we've been the worst of our enemies/
It's trial and error, cause and effect/
An important event that triggers something bigger to walk in its steps/
Dawn of the dead, swarming with pests/
Within the walls of our nest or is it all in our heads?/
Yeah, our only vice seems to be condoning violence/
Even though the ice is melting and the ocean's rising/
It's no surprise if you look with open eyes/
We're overpricing until inflation is a global crisis/
This place is laced with political corruption/
This racist race is still living in conjunction/
With ways that break our ability to function/
So we wait to face a very imminent destruction

Hook:
It's trial and error but we don't get a second chance/
For recompense if our lives are spent in Neverland/
One world, one life, one love/
Is it unjust to say I think we fucked up?
