The Long Conversation

Long is the breadth of the conversation
Even though most of the words only spoken by one
So you move yourself away to find a voice that's not so demanding
I don't want to be the latest one
Face to face with what I could have done
It's the trade of a lifetime

So we sit around and talk about the things we've read
And the people we've loved and the dreams we've dreamt
